Free-eBooks.net Celebrates Half a Million Facebook Fans!

Free-eBooks.net now has over 500,000 Facebook fans! Thank you to everyone from around the world that’s joined us in making this such a fantastic community. Just to put that into perspective, half a million people is at least 100,000 more than the whole city of Liverpool, England – home of the Beatles! According to the Guinness Book of World Records the most fireworks ever used at once was also 500,000, during an event in Dubai, and when we found out we hit the half a million mark believe me, we felt like celebrating with that kind of fireworks

File formats – what are they really?

So, you’re ready to write your novel; or you’ve already written it and are about to upload to a website (like Free-eBooks.net) for publication. We state on our submission page that we accept DOC, RTF (rich text format), and PDF (portable document format) formats but that we suggest DOC as the best format possible for conversion to the other reading formats (TXT, HTML, ePub, and Mobipocket). For the love of reading

Since I was a small child, I grew up surrounded by books. My parents inculcated the love of books in me because they both loved to read. My father, a career teacher has always had a personal book library and as a child, I would go there and pick up books I could hardly read, but was happy enough to “read” the pictures in them. He also bought us educational books where we learnt things we were not taught in school.

I am a fan of irreverent literature. I like when writers push the envelope because it forces me to confront my own inhibitions and perspectives and causes me to question their validity within the context of someone else’s perspective.
